Title: Virtual FT Sr. Websphere Tester

Description:
Recruiting and staffing of this position is being handled by Mom Corps on behalf of our client. This is a full-time virtual contract opportunity with a duration of approximately 6 months. The initial 3-4 week period of the contract will require weekly travel to the client site in Orlando, Florida then the remainder of the work can be performed remotely.
Responsibilities:
•Perform black box and white box testing of complex HA web applications.
•Prepare test plans including systems analysis, risk analysis, writing and plotting test strategies and determines how to report test results and defects.
•Prepare test case and scripts.
•Perform database verification, SQL queries to verify and modify test data
Create test scenarios for both the Websphere VE and HA Database failover applications.
•Modify the performance test scripts to enable the testing of the above test scenarios following customer's scripting conventions.
•Execute existing and new performance test scenarios.
•Analyze and report results to customer stakeholders.
•Prepare weekly and daily status reports pertaining to the Project for customer.
•Create necessary SDLC test artifacts and ensure all performance testing requirements are fully tested and traceable to test cases and results.
•Foster positive and cooperative relationship with other teams.
•Continuously evaluate, design and improve development and delivery processes.
• Provide hands-on leadership to project team.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred with five (5) to seven (7) years experience in testing enterprise web applications, data intensive applications and/or back-end intensive applications.
Skills and Requirements:
•Knowledge required in: HTML; XML; Active Directory; Active Server Pages (ASP); JavaScript; Visual Basic 6.0, VB.NET; VB Script, Transact SQL; Database Concepts; Internet web browsers; UNIX Shell
•Coding Fundamentals (variable declaration, program flow, functions, error handling, etc).
•2+ years Java development experience with Webshpere and HA applications.
•Experience with Webshere VE error handling tools.
•Expert knowledge of HP LoadRunner , Performance Center and Quality Center required.
•Experience using PC scripts to validate application availability desired.
•Expert experience or knowledge required in the following; QA process, documentation, and testing.
•Ability, experience and set-up (laptop, high speed Internet, home office) to work remotely for extended periods.
•Ability to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field.
•Ability to think outside the box, adapt to circumstances, learn from co-workers, and share information and experiences.
•Ability to multitask - excellent organizational and time management skills.
