Hope Lodge - Weekend Manager
Provide direct supervision to Hope Lodge between the hours of 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Responsible for meeting the goals and objectives established for Hope Lodge NYC
Handles front desk activity on Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. and from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m., Monday morning, until Hope Lodge relief staff person arrives.
Will be on-site and reachable to guests by emergency line during the hours of 10 p.m. until 7 a.m., in case of an emergency.
Scheduled to work a minimum of one weekend a month, more as needed; on occasion prepared to cover for Evening Manager and holidays.
Handles all emergencies that occur during the night, making the appropriate contacts and referrals. Prepares incident reports.
Maintains awareness of all Hope Lodge residents and visitors.
Handles guest check-ins and check-outs.
Enters guest data into reservation database.
Patrol of all floors every 3 hours, noting any discrepancies or possible maintenance issues, and reports information to designated assigned parties.
Assists with weekend activities with community groups and volunteers.
May assist with promotions of activities to guests, handling of guest communications, and sorting/distribution of guest mail.
Will follow guidelines as outlined in the Hope Lodge Operational Manual.
Works in coordination with facility management to report any facility operational emergencies.
Relationships:
Reports to Evening Manager and Senior Managing Executive. Works closely with the Hope Lodge NYC Team. Maintains and cultivates relationships with guests, volunteers, and ACS regional staff.
Qualifications:
Ability to handle multiple duties
Strong organizational skills, with keen attention to details in data entry
Strong computer skills, experience in database management
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong telephone skills
Good written and oral communications skills
Able to maintain confidentiality in dealing with guests
Able to think clearly and effectively in handling emergency situations.
