Great opportunity exists for a part-time Employment Specialist in our Community Based Flexible Supports Services!
Employment Specialists are responsible for assisting adults, who are dealing with mental health issues to become competitively employed in the community and to reach their maximum vocational potential. This involves, but is not limited to, vocational assessments/intakes, job search skills training, issues related to personal appearance/presentation, entitlements training, job coaching, interview support and job development with the business community.
Ideal candidate must be able to provide employment related support to individuals with a wide range of skills/abilities, must be able to be flexible with work schedule to meet the needs of program participants and their employers, and communicate effectively with other service providers to coordinate service delivery for program participants.
Requirements:
· AA/AS or BA/BS in human services or related field
· Experience in rehabilitation counseling, job development, or community based programs
· Successful candidates will be a highly motivated self starters with strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Valid driver's license, access to personal vehicle and willingness to drive clients to appointments needed. |
