A large museum in the heart of Philadelphia's historic district is seeking a web-developer.
This results-oriented, proactive, and creative individual to be part of the organization’s marketing efforts. He/she will lead web site infrastructure design and support, from functional walkthroughs and technical designs to implementations and production release. The Web Developer will work with all departments and manage creation teams and content editors to develop, implement and refine new feature requests for the organization.
1. Design, support and maintain the back-end infrastructure for the organization's “web” environment.
2. Responsible for development of programs in HTML,DHTML, XHTML and CSS
3. Responsible for programming in Javascript, ASP, PHP/MySQL.
4. Facilitate open source content management system development and customization.
5. Conduct feasibility reviews of design concepts with graphics design team members.
6. Perform complete cross-platform and browser support.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BS in Digital Media or BFA in Web Design or Digital Media
2. Minimum 5 years experience in Web Design and support
3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating Systems
4. Advanced working knowledge of server architectures and backup systems.
5. Solid familiarity with IT e-commerce security best practices
6. Clean coding techniques an adoption of best practices
7. Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, customer service and time management skills
8. Experience in flash animation and integration
9. Experience with Windows 2003 Server and dataset/SQL backup, DMS and Domain Name transfers
10. Strong decision making and problem solving skills a must
