Title: Performance Test Lead - Nova

Responsibilities:
· Perform performance and load tests on complex projects using technical specifications: plans, schedules and implements performance testing projects, defines performance test objectives and writes Load Runner Scripts.
· Perform database verification, SQL queries to verify and modify test data
· Formulate test plans including systems analysis, risk analysis, writing and plotting test strategies and determines how to report test results and defects
· Performs API/Web Services testing; may also be required to write test harnesses using web services and SOAP technologies
· Investigates and resolves technical issues in the QA and prod environments and communicates issues with various departments
· Provide training and mentoring to junior team members
· Monitor performance tool (Load Runner) capabilities and trends to enhance and maximize performance value to organization
· Create necessary SDLC test artifacts and ensure all performance testing requirements are fully tested and traceable to test cases and results
· Foster positive and cooperative relationship with other teams.
· Continuously evaluate, design and improve development and delivery processes
· Provide hands-on leadership to project architects
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred with five (5) to seven (7) years experience in testing financial applications, data intensive applications and/or back-end intensive applications. Five (5) to seven (7) years experience years in leading performance testing initiatives.
Knowledge:
· Basic experience or knowledge required in: HTML; XML; Active Directory; Active Server Pages (ASP); JavaScript; Visual Basic 6.0, VB.NET; VB Script, Transact SQL; Database Concepts; Windows NT 4.0, 2K; Internet web browsers; UNIX Shell
· Basic knowledge in: Coding Fundamentals (variable declaration, program flow, functions, error handling, etc)
· Experience with; automated testing tools (HP LoadRunner and Quality Center), software development life-cycle and software development tools preferred
· Expert experience or knowledge required in the following; QA process, documentation, and testing
· Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, Visio
· Ability to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field
· Ability to think outside the box, adapt to circumstances, learn from co-workers, and share information and experiences
· Ability to multitask - excellent organizational and time management skills
· Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
